Cllr Brian Bagnall

Committees

Chairman of the Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee
Member of the Planning and Highways Regulation Committee

Personal Statement
Brian has lived in the Bramhall area of Stockport since 1996.  He has been a Stockport Councillor since 2004. Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, he first became involved in politics when he campaigned for the Stoke Central candidate, Nic Gibb, in the 1993 election.  Nic is now MP for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.

Brian was elected to Staffordshire County Council in 1992 and has developed a particular interest in Planning and Highways and Law and Order issues.  He is passionate about local residents having control of their own lives and being supported by the Council not run by it.  He believes the Police should have the resources necessary to provide safety and security to all residents, but they must manage their resources effectively.

Brian is married to Jaqui and has two sons, James and Alexander.  Outside of politics, he enjoys great pubs and restaurants and holidaying with his family.
