Stockport MBC is to commence construction works along the Public Right of Way (PROW) between Bramhall Lane South and Dawlish Close and within the grounds of Pownall Green Primary School.

The construction works consist of footway widening, new fencing and improved street lighting along the PROW. Works within the school ground include realignment of the access road.

The works have been planned to minimise disruption as much as possible, specifically by maintaining access to business and residential properties at all times.

The proposed works are scheduled to commence week commencing 1st August and last until September. Traffic management will be required to ensure the works can be carried out safely and efficiently. This will include the temporary closure of the PROW.

The works will predominantly take place Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm. Some working outside of these hours may be required. The working methodology and traffic management requirements may be subject to change.

A site compound area will be established within the school grounds for the provision of staff welfare and to safely store materials.

Contact SMBC

If you have any questions about the works, please do not hesitate to contact SMBC by email at hong.phung@stockport.gov.uk. To report an out-of-hours emergency on site, please call 0161 474 5555.
