Linda Holt was elected to Stockport Council in 2008 and has served 12 years as councillor for Bramhall North Ward.
Linda became Deputy Mayor of Stockport in 2014 and then elected Mayor of Stockport in 2017
During her time as a councillor Linda has served on various Committees, including chair and vice chair Children and Families Scrutiny, chair and vice chair Bramhall Woodford and Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee, Armed Forces Covenant Committee, Employee Appeals Stockport MBC, Fair Trade Stockport Committee, Mayor’s Charity Appeal. Previously Deputy Leader Stockport Conservative Group.
In Linda’s personal life she is involved in various groups; Stockport RSPCA as a long standing campaigner for animal welfare, a volunteer board Director for 15 years at the Plaza Theatre Stockport and is chair of Stockport District Scout Association
Linda is a freelance qualified human resources professional focusing primarily on recruitment, assessment and management development for various blue chip companies.
